We are coming up with a tote bag to encourage people to use reusable shopping bags in a fashionable way. Our tote bag designs are calligraphy-styled, with the message "It's time to ditch the plastic". The tote bags are handmade, whereby I directly calligraph and draw on the bag itself by hand. They will then be ironed so that the ink becomes permanent on the fabric. This reduces all the printing hassle and shipment procedures that possibly involves plastic!
By drawing directly on our bags, we keep the authenticity within each bag, where no bag is exactly the same as another. Also, we like the idea of how true to life hand-drawn works are, representing the rawness and honesty of nature that we consistently try to preserve.
